It feels as though VT is delaying official announcement of any new hires simply to keep FBS alive... Perhaps they realize that post-Hokies Respect FBS became the primary venue for Tech fans to voice their disappointment not just in Stiney but also for the lack of 'Stick It In' cheers and football throwing in the parking lots while tailgating. Without a proper venue in which to vent frustration, such as FBS, the fan base could become unruly.. And, much to Weaver's chagrin, perhaps even root against an opposing team!

I couldn't agree with you more. I am a FSU fan but I love outside of Roanoke and have VA tech season tickets. This guy is killing tech!!!! The offensive talent that is leaving the state is amazing. FSU and Clemson QBs are from Hampton roads!!! Never mind the others gobbs of talent that is being lost or not being sought after by tech. I was recommending to people with the athletic department at tech to look at a QB in FLA. Cord Sandberg by name, a top 300 player. I know his father. Tech wouldn't even look at him. He plays on the 1# high school football team in the country. Tech will not be great till uninspiring goes and a new offensive philosophy.

Guess your website is in fu swing once again...seems like an annual right of passage. Maybe one of these days boosters and alumni will get tired of this. Until them I've invented a new drinking game. It's called "Beamer ball". Every time a coach blames a player (execution, mental errors, etc) or gives the credit to the other team (oh heck that's a heck of a ball team over there)....I'm going to take a shot. Every time the coaches take the blame..,I'm going to make a large donation to charity. So far, I'm drunk and my checkbook is still in the drawer.

Have to say IDGAF abuot the schedule. I expect them to win &, moreover, I fully expect them to win 12 games this season (as I did last and the season before). IDGARA about the damn schedule. However, if we go 8-4 (as much as I don't want us to) the positive side is that it will furhter FORCE changes that are needed. Has the alumni/atheletic booster meeting ocurred yet? I think he's on board with it, if only because from everything I've heard he really enjoyed being on the sideline with the players throughout the season. I think now there's just some bruised ego from the fact that in season one MOC put up better numbers than Stiney every could, using Stiney's own system and playbook. But make no mistake about it, this is the arrangement for the foreseeable future.
