FBS Mission Statement:

We at FBS believe that offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring bears the largest share of the blame for years of sub-par output from some of the most talented players ever to set foot on Worsham Field. We believe the main objective of the VT football program - a national championship - will escape us as long as Stinespring is making the calls. We therefore advocate the improvement of our football program through the replacement of our offensive coordinator.

I guess this answers THAT question...

From Part II of Andy Bitter's interview with Stiney:
How do you think the play-calling operation worked, with Mike O’Cain calling them from the booth last year? Will having done that for a season help this year?
“I think with anything, there’s some things that you have to adjust, going through something for the first time, whether it’s platooning a quarterback, as we did four or five years ago, it’s an element that you do that you’ve got to make it work. And this is the same. But I thought it worked really well."
This kind of incoherent babbling is not what we would hear if Stiney were, in fact, the mastermind behind the "O'Cain calls the plays while Stiney stays OC" plan. I doubt we would hear this if he was even on board with the plan. This sounds more like someone who was unprepared to speak on a topic that he is not too happy about. It also makes it sound like the arrangement will be the same this season.

As it damn well should be.
