VT football takes another setback with the loss of the Peak brothers, article link here from Mark Berman at the Roanoke Times [non-RT-subscriber link to dailyme website]. I'll use the word "setback" on Tahrick Peak at linebacker, don't know how much of a loss his brother Nubian was at WR/flanker/RB since we're so deep and he assuredly would have redshirted? I can see why Nubian left with his brother being denied admission to VT. Wish we could have fed Tahrick a little Hargrave love rather than lose him to TTech, article has the explanation.
Boooooo VT has higher academic standards than TT?
And.......I saw this on the LebronSPN ACC blog page today. Mike London over at UVA has purchased 100 season tickets in prime seating at UVA football games. He's giving them away in a contest. Winners will be chosen from an essay contest. Devious me wonders if we should all commit blashphemy and write an essay into the contest to try and win the tickets. Then never show in droves. [oh wait, that'd be just like UVA fans.]
You'd have to write about how big a Cav fan you are and submit a picture in your Cav gear. Ummmm, a picture of that dork in your office who went there in his UVA tie. It might hurt your eyes to type it out, but that would be hilarious should you win and use the tickets as fire starters for your grill at Lane's tailgates this fall in B'burg.
FBS Mission Statement:
We at FBS believe that offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring bears the largest share of the blame for years of sub-par output from some of the most talented players ever to set foot on Worsham Field. We believe the main objective of the VT football program - a national championship - will escape us as long as Stinespring is making the calls. We therefore advocate the improvement of our football program through the replacement of our offensive coordinator.
