Reprint: What happens when you combine a quarterback that is 4th in the nation in pass efficiency AND a running back that is 7th in the nation in rushing yards and 26th in the nation in all purpose yards under an Offensive Coordinator named Bryan Stinespring?
60th in total offense?
Stinespring's lack of creativity in offensive play calling (LETS run it up the middle with the SAME play 3 of 3 times against the #7 rush defense in the nation!) and inability to capitalize on players' abilities has been evident since he came to VA Tech:
2005 57th in total offense
2006 99th in total offense
2007 100th in total offense
2008 103rd in total offense
SO... what is the problem?
Has Beamer let personal feelings interfere with business?
Is there some deep dark secret that only Stinespring knows about Beamer?
(if so, we forgive you no matter what it is.)
IT IS TIME THE STUDENT BODY TOOK ACTION!
ALL WHO BELIEVE THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE, SHOW UP AT BULL & BONES FOR TECH TALK LIVE @ 7PM ON MONDAY TO PROTEST STINESPRING!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Note: We know Virginia Tech is not recognized as VA Tech, but whoever made the flyer did a good job.

zomg i so wish i lived in blacksburg.
i wonder if my boss would let me take 1/2 days monday and tuesday.....that might be worth driving in for.
i implore all of you, students, alumni, fans, whoever - if you live close enough, get to bull and bones this monday night.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't have a huge presentation Tues, I would make the trek up the Blue Ridge for this!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!
I live in Blacksburg, and it's a relief seeing these around. I hope they don't get taken down and I hope it informs a lot more fans and hokie club contributors as well. It wouldn't surprise me if they (school administration) took them down shortly. It seems like they are doing everything they can to cover up the obvious.
during the first and last attempt from FBS to distribute flayers after the Bama game, I stuck a bunch in the CT stands, and a few on the message boards in some departments.
The one that was close to my office was not take down for ~2 weeks.
I can going to call most of you out. From what I have seen this site and the others have been all talk and no action. I know the guy selling the Tshirts and he had many requests for the shirts, but only about 10 people showed to pick them up. Some of you need to step up. I know I did, wearing the Tshirt across campus, bars and to the games.
I really hope at least some people show up to protest stiney. But I really dont think most of you have it in you. Prove me wrong
Let's rally the fans to wear black to the last home game against NC State. We are mourning a season that held so much potential.
Pass it along to everyone who loves the Hokies and want to see change.
Good post and flyer which points out an obvious trend. Another trend that Beamer and the VT Athletic department needs to notice is the ever approaching fall of VT football due to the rest of the ACC improving their recruiting and coaching, and VT sticking with the same program strategy of loyalty over competence.
Beamer will never make the tough decision to demote Stiney and why should we expect him to; think of his interview track record on all questions related to VT coaches and players. Example: Even after Little Vick performed the infamous stomp at the gator bowl and continued to get in trouble with the law he at first disagreed with the decision to boot him from the team. Who ever or what ever it took for Beamer to call Marcus into his office and let him go needs to show its ugly head again and put Stiney in his place, on the sideline coaching the O-Line.
Well after reading for sometime I registered to post. I also ordered a T-shirt. Too bad it doesn't have at least the word "Tech" on it. I don't think this is copyrighted. It would help people here in PA where I live know what the shirt means. The UNC loss brought me to this.
I have been a VT fan since 98 when I met my wife and started going to games. My wife has a relative who works at Tech. She told me last year they called a meeting a "get off Stine's back meeting". This tells me that Weaver, Beamer, etc. don't want the staff complaining about Stiney.
I told her about the shirt and she loved it. She also said that she would try and go to Bull and Bones and see what happens.
I just saw the flyer in front of Newman Library entrance 2 seconds ago. This is awesome. Since I'm an alumna who is no longer live in Blacksburg (just visiting this weekend), I encourage everyone who can to go to Bull and Boned this Monday night. At least do this for us who aren't able to.
Stinespring is the worst thing that's ever happened to the program. With those running backs, they should run it down everyone's throat, who cares about passing offense, you shouldn't need any with a heavy does of Williams, Olgesby, and Wilson. Maybe they should focus more outside of VA when they recruit, I'm sick of finishing the year with 2 or 3 losses. Stiney's got to go as well as Beamer.
to brgut1 I am buying my shirt now and many have. I encourage everyone who can to buy a shirt as well. I will stop by bull and bones as well but if i'm the only anti-stinespring guy there I don't know how long I may stay.
Charlie, you won't be the only one. See if you can search on facebook for the event I made concerning this. Unfortunately most people I know have graduated and thus moved out of the burg. If you find it, add yourself and invite the rest of your Hokies. I can't be there as I said above, but please go and make the statement that needs to be made. Don't wimp out on us, we need you :)
Jess, mind sharing the link to the facebook event with all of us? =)
More blame should be put on the head coach than Stinespring. It is like any CEO of a co. they make the final decisions on what happens. That means Frank is making the decisions on the plays that are called. The program had a chance when Bustle left to go out and hire a experinced offence corr. that culd have given us a real chance at becoming a top five contender. Yhe loyalty thing can only go so far.
Unfortunately I doubt the majority of fans and contributors will call for Beamer to leave unless maybe we become a consistent 6-6 team for consecutive seasons and fall to the middle of the ACC.
Beamer built the program from nothing obviously and people buy in to the 10 win season. From what I can tell that is their only goal. 10 wins and if we make an ACC that's great, if not oh well. Why complain? They are making good money, it's a good business.
If beamer won't change things himself then we can either hope for his retirement or just count on 8 to 10 wins each year and Chick-Fil-A or Gator bowls and maybe 1 or 2 more ACC Championship appearances and no NC contention for the next 5 or so years. I don't see us going to a NC with the way things are now, that's for sure.
Jess send me the link and I'll see what I can do :-)
If Beamer will not change things himself see what happened to Bobby and Jeff Bowden at FSU a few yrs ago. Students and big money boosters forced a change. It can happen! Yes, FSU is not great again yet but Jimbo Fisher is a HUGE improvement over Jeff Bowden who was promoted to OC the same way Stinespring was (without the proper experience, training and credentials).
Someone made another t shirt for sale:

Bahhh I have a finance exam at 7pm on Monday. Perfect...
Hokiej88, that shirt about made me fall out of my chair with laughter, it's so sad but so so true.
I wish Beamer would get out of the "10 wins makes you elite bullcrap." No 10 wins can get you a BCS birth you lose. 10 wins doesn't mean crap unless you have a BCS win or NC win to go with it.
just to add to what Kyle was saying. Look at Bosie State. Are they an elite program because they win 10 or more games? 10 wins is just 10 wins. It only means something if you play a significant amount of ranked and/or challenging teams. Granted our schedule is much more challenging than Bosie State's but not more challenging than say Alabama's or any elite SEC team that manage to pull 10 wins against superior opponents. Our schedule falls into the middle of the pack, it's better than Bosie State's but not as challenging as say being in the SEC or Big 12. Beamer of all people should know that. Also it could be up for debate on who's schedule is consistently harder, Virginia Tech's or USC? For some reason we can't play on the road against ranked out of conference opponents that well at least that I've seen in the past 4 years.
The ACC will hopefully be better in coming years but that also could mean us falling into the middle of the ACC if we keep this kind of play up. We were so use to pulling 10 wins against awful ACC teams. The loss with UNC at home on a Thursday night with perfect weather should be a huge wake up call. I thought we'd have a better chance losing against ECU on the road next week than against UNC at home.
On that note. I think it'll be very interesting to see how the ECU game plays out and how close it is. However If we somehow shut them out it still doesn't make us a consistent team. The same offensive problems will still be there as we learned after our 5 win streak.
So my point is that Beamer and anyone else who buys the 10 win spiel needs to cut the crap and realize the ACC is a mediocre middle of the pack conference in football. While 10 wins is an accomplishment that sets us apart from inferior teams (duke, marshall,UVA, ect.) It's not enough to be considered an elite program.
We have one thing missing and that is a NC win which we can do with our current talent, not with our current coaches.
