FBS Mission Statement:

We at FBS believe that offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring bears the largest share of the blame for years of sub-par output from some of the most talented players ever to set foot on Worsham Field. We believe the main objective of the VT football program - a national championship - will escape us as long as Stinespring is making the calls. We therefore advocate the improvement of our football program through the replacement of our offensive coordinator.

IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!

Okay, as far as most people on this blog are concerned, the season doesn't start till 8pm Saturday night. Tonight, however, the season officially starts at 7pm with South Carolina taking on the ACC's own NC State on ESPN 360 (it's football season!!!!). At 10pm, most of us will tune in to watch #16 Oregon square off against #14 Boise State in Boise. Tonight is just a tease, however, because tomorrow we have to go one last day without any college football before THE game day. Big Tony did a post on what games to watch this weekend, so make sure you scroll down and check that out so you don't have to wait all day Saturday before you get your college football fix.
Now back to Atlanta--I know a lot of current students that are leaving for Atlanta after class tomorrow...or before class because let's face it, this game is more important. I myself am lucky enough to not have Friday classes (holla!). How many FBS contributors are heading down for the game? How many FBS readers? Where are you tailgating--parking lot or the bars? Leave comments!

Oh, and before I hit "publish post," allow me to introduce myself--I'm Jonesy, I'm a current student at Tech, and the Hokie Guru has been kind enough to invite me to contribute to FBS. I also hope to help get those "No BS" shirts distributed around campus and, more importantly, see our offense get with the program and actually SCORE TOUCHDOWNS WHEN IN THE REDZONE!!!
