FBS Mission Statement:

We at FBS believe that offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring bears the largest share of the blame for years of sub-par output from some of the most talented players ever to set foot on Worsham Field. We believe the main objective of the VT football program - a national championship - will escape us as long as Stinespring is making the calls. We therefore advocate the improvement of our football program through the replacement of our offensive coordinator.

Poll Results

So this is pretty much par for the course in Hokie Nation, right?

The majority of respondents say they want a BCS bowl win to call '09 a success. But a significant percentage say it's time to fill the trophy case. Four people seem to subscribe to Stinespring/Weaver logic and say another 10 win season will be sufficient, while five weigh in that continuing our dominance of our conference is where the bar should be set.

Also, an admission here that there really should have been a fifth option: simply getting to the BCSNCG. I think we'd all agree that the 1999 season was a "success," even though the Hokies recorded neither a BCS bowl victory nor a national championship. But there's two reasons I didn't include that option. Both are selfish. First, I liked how the wording of the options built on the previous option, so it sort of read like a sentence. Second, I will not be satisfied if we simply get into the BCSNCG. Maybe I'm getting impatient after a decade, but it's about time.

It's about damn time.
