And why won't Frank Beamer be on Twitter?
That was a question the Hokie Guru posed to James Arthur, the webhost, for BeamerBall at Virginia Tech Fan Focus (an awesome Virginia Tech Hokie football Internet community). Here is Mr. Arthur's response:
Guru, we began to set up a Twitter account and page for Coach Beamer, and then he evaluated what he considered to be the pros and cons of it, and decided against it. So, at this time, he's not doing it. That may or may not change in the future, but for now, no
dice. Sorry. James Arthur, Webhost, Beamerball.com
Somehow, the Hokie Guru has the feeling that Beamer's thinking he'd receive too many tweets over the blackberry about Stiney's performance. He's probably worried that the text messages could cut into the Beamerball website profits lol. Or, maybe he'd see too many real-time Jason From Arlington(s). In any event, Frank Beamer will not be on Twitter.

Someone should push the idea of a twitter account on Foster...or even Stiney. It would be great to see updates from the coaches' points of view week to week. Foster's tweets could give us real insight and get us pumped for the next game and Stiney's tweets could provide comical relief.
